Canada unexpectedly adds 87,800 jobs in May and the unemployment rate drops:

• Employment: +88K, the first significant gain since November 2025. Gain erased almost 80% of the 112K jobs lost since the start of the year.

• Unemployment Rate: -0.3% to 6.6%.
